This is an exciting opportunity for a senior data leader to join a multinational enterprise in a crucial six-month fixed-term contract, providing key backfill support during a period of transition. Based in Surrey with a hybrid working arrangement (2–3 days onsite weekly, including Tuesdays), the role offers a salary of £60,000 for the 6-month term, with potential flexibility for the right candidate.

This position requires a dynamic individual to manage the day-to-day analytics and reporting requirements of the UK operation, while simultaneously advancing alignment with the organisation’s global data transformation strategy. A strong emphasis is placed on transitioning to a unified data platform centred on Snowflake and Power BI, requiring a candidate who can guide centralised transformation whilst maintaining operational excellence.

The current team comprises 30 members, the majority of whom are offshore contractors, and the new incumbent will be expected to navigate perception challenges, support capability development, and engage in active succession planning. Demonstrated experience leading teams through complex data transformation initiatives in a global context is essential, particularly in environments involving centralisation and modernisation of analytics platforms. The ability to lead cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams is a must.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of strategic leadership within the data & analytics domain, ideally in a large-scale or multinational setting. Expertise in visualisation tools such as Power BI & Snowflake, and data governance frameworks is required. Strong stakeholder management skills are vital due to the dual focus across UK operational priorities and global strategic objectives. The ability to communicate clearly with senior leadership, manage complex stakeholder relationships, and deliver tangible outcomes in fast-paced environments is critical for success.

While meeting local reporting needs remains integral to the role, there is a clear opportunity to build upon previous leadership by placing greater focus on global transformation and platform development. This requires an individual who can balance tactical responsiveness with longer-term strategic insight, and who is comfortable exerting influence in both UK and US settings.

Due to the urgency of the role, an immediate start is preferred. However, a short notice period of up to six weeks may be acceptable, providing it allows for a minimum of three weeks of handover with the current incumbent. This role offers a unique leadership opportunity to shape the future of data and analytics within a globally recognised enterprise.
