An established organisation is seeking a Data & Reporting Analyst to support its Performance function. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, maintaining high‑quality reporting, and helping teams make informed decisions.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving Power BI reporting, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting colleagues with insight and analysis. This is a hands‑on role where attention to detail and problem‑solving skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and optimise Power BI dashboards, ensuring smooth data refreshes and accurate reporting.
- Troubleshoot data issues, streamline queries, and enhance report logic.
- Validate data against source systems and raise anomalies with relevant teams.
- Conduct root cause analysis to resolve recurring data issues.
- Respond to internal data and reporting queries.
- Prepare insight summaries for performance reviews and senior meetings.
- Support the creation of new reports and improvements to existing ones.
- Analyse staff utilisation and stock usage to identify trends and improvements.
- Champion customer satisfaction survey insights.
- Provide occasional support to IT and represent the Performance function when required.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Strong Power BI skills, including DAX and service administration.
- Advanced Excel capability and strong analytical skills.
- High attention to detail with excellent problem‑solving ability.
- Clear communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non‑technical users.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with insight, research, and AI techniques.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of SQL and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure).
- Experience using APIs for data extraction.
- Exposure to Power Platform tools (e.g., Power Automate).
- Experience with other BI tools such as Tableau.
