Business Objects to Power BI Migration Consultant
Role Overview
Support the migration of SAP BusinessObjects reports to Power BI within a hosted housing management environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Migrate BusinessObjects reports, translating merged dimensions, calculations, variables and complex joins into SQL and Power BI.
- Develop Power BI dashboards, data models and visualisations.
- Write SQL queries against Oracle databases to extract, join and transform data.
- Validate migrated reports against existing outputs and document SQL and report logic.
- Apply Power BI security controls, including row-level security and export permissions.
- Prioritise critical reports
Essential Skills
- Strong SAP BusinessObjects, Power BI and SQL experience.
- Experience translating complex reporting logic and joins.
- Strong data validation and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and deliver to tight deadlines.
Desirable: NEC housing systems, Oracle database knowledge and social housing experience.
Working pattern: Remote
