Assessments Lead | London (Hybrid) | up to £53,000
We're partnering with a university on exclusive basis to help them find an Assessments Lead. The university just went live with a new exam scheduler in May and are about to kick off an implementation project to replace their student record system. This is a great opportunity for someone to work on project environment and shape/ enhance the existing Assessments processes to improving student learning experience.
Summary of the role:
Role: Assessments Lead
Employment Type: Permanent
Location: 3 days a week in London
Salary: £42,238.82 - £53,468.29 inclusive of London weighting allowance (They can appoint up to £43,878 or match your current salary)

Essential skills:
- Experience in managing assessments or examinations in higher education setting
- Strong understanding of current statutory and regulatory frameworks in higher education
- Leadership capabilities (supervising or leading or managing a team)
- Excellent in stakeholder management
The role:
Reporting to the Assessments and Progression Manager, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside another Assessments Lead Officer to provide quality services to academics and students. This roles comes with line management responsibility of an Officer, there is plans to grow the team to a size of 2-3 officers. Currently the examination is done by the assessments team and there are plans to move that to a separate function with in registry.
This is a critical role within the organisation that is currently undergoing major digital transformation to replace their student record system. That comes with host of project the assessment team will be involved with, that the post holder will have the opportunity to lead:
- Enhancement of current assessments and examinations processes
- The post holder will play an integral role in shaping what assessments processes would need to look like as the university migrates to the new system
- Looking at target operating model when transitioning to BAU after implementation - this is a 2 year plan
- Semesterisation project to drive student learning experience and allow flexibility in teaching and access to programmes

Desirable skills:
- Formal line management experience
- Experience where you have identified and implemented innovative improvements to procedures and systems
- Have been involved in a SITS implementation project OR are a super user of the system
