Solution Architect

Solution Architects - On-bus Tech & Fleet 

We are currently supporting an existing transport client who are looking to bring on interim Solution Architects to support an ongoing franchising programme. 

Essential Skills & Experience

Architecture Leadership

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Lead Solution Architect or Enterprise Architect on large-scale digital transformation programmes.
• Ability to define target-state architectures, solution roadmaps and end-to-end technology designs.
• Strong experience producing High-Level Designs (HLDs), architecture artefacts and technical governance documentation.

Integration & Cloud Technologies

• Extensive experience designing complex system integrations using APIs, event-driven architectures and enterprise integration patterns.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture principles, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Experience designing secure, scalable and resilient enterprise solutions.
• Strong knowledge of data integration, interoperability standards and information exchange architectures.

Technical Governance

• Experience operating within Architecture Review Boards, Design Authority processes and technical governance forums.
• Ability to assess technical risks, dependencies and solution trade-offs.
• Experience providing technical assurance of supplier designs and delivery approaches.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Experience within transport, bus franchising or public sector
• Customer Experience platforms – experience with CRM, Contact Centre, Customer Complaints, Case Management or Customer Engagement solutions. 
• On-Bus Technology ecosystems – familiarity with technologies such as AVL, AVA, ETM, CCTV, Passenger Counting, DSM and related management systems. 
• Data & Analytics platforms – experience with Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, BI platforms and reporting ecosystems.
