As a Senior Catastrophe Analyst, you’ll work closely with actuarial and catastrophe modelling teams to provide value-added insights that support (re)insurance placements across multiple lines of business. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys translating complex analytics into actionable strategies for clients.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver catastrophe modelling and analytics using industry-leading platforms (e.g., RMS, Verisk) and innovative tools.
- Manipulate and analyze data to produce clear, impactful insights.
- Present findings to clients and internal stakeholders, building strong relationships and trust.
- Develop bespoke solutions and contribute to strategic projects, including automation and data strategy initiatives.
- Support market submissions and RfP presentations.
- Drive efficiency through tool development and process improvement.
- Experience with at least one catastrophe modelling platform (e.g., RMS, AIR).
- Strong technical skills: SQL required; Python/R or Alteryx experience a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with PowerBI; GIS experience beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills—comfortable presenting complex analytics to clients.
- Creative problem solver with attention to detail and a collaborative mindset.
- Industry experience in catastrophe modelling or related analytics.
