The Senior AWS Engineer (Data Platforms) role focuses on supporting a cloud programme for a leading financial services organisation. The role involves designing and building scalable data pipelines and cloud-native integration solutions. It requires a strong focus on delivery, automation, and knowledge transfer.

Key Skills & Experience:

• AWS: Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, S3, Athena, RDS, CloudWatch
• Python
• Terraform
• CI/CD (Bitbucket, GitHub Actions, GitLab)
• SQL & Data Modelling
• Event-driven architectures (Kinesis, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ)
• EKS / EC2
• Monitoring, support, and platform optimisation

Nice to Have:

• Support for production systems and platform reliability
• Drive Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives
• Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams
• Mentor internal engineers and establish sustainable operating models

The role involves building and maintaining data pipelines, supporting production systems, and driving automation initiatives. The team operates in a hybrid environment, with onsite presence required 2-3 days per week.
