The NEC & SSRS Reporting Developer role supports a major reporting migration programme within the organisation. The primary focus is on migrating approximately 600 reports from NEC Business Objects to SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), ensuring timely delivery and risk mitigation. This role requires a highly skilled professional with strong SQL and SSRS experience, particularly familiar with NEC database schemas.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong SQL and SSRS expertise
  • Practical experience of NEC database schemas
  • Ability to develop and amend SQL queries, including joins and report logic
  • Experience in report formatting and presentation within SSRS
  • Knowledge of NEC Revenues & Benefits schema is highly desirable
  • Hands-on report migration and validation against business requirements

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting report scheduling and refinements
  • Ability to provide guidance and knowledge transfer to colleagues

Role Overview
This hands-on, delivery-focused role involves migrating reports from Business Objects to SSRS, working closely with a wider team to meet migration deadlines. The successful candidate will operate independently against a defined programme, ensuring accurate report development, validation, and issue resolution. Effective communication with business users and internal teams is essential for success.
