Interim HE Planning & Data Specialist | Higher Education
Gravitas are working with a UK university undergoing a significant curriculum transformation programme, and we're looking for an experienced HE Planning professional to provide immediate interim support.
The university needs someone who can bridge the gap between planning, data and curriculum decision-making, helping senior stakeholders understand the impact of student demand, programme portfolios and staffing requirements.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting student number planning and planning rounds
- Analysing student demand, recruitment and programme-level data
- Supporting curriculum and portfolio review
- Working with academic schools on targets and planning assumptions
- Bringing together UCAS, HESA and internal student data
- Supporting business cases for new and amended programmes
- Turning complex data into clear insight for senior leadership
- Presenting findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders
What we're looking for
We're particularly interested in people with:
- Strong Higher Education planning experience
- Proven experience across student number planning and planning rounds
- Portfolio management / curriculum planning experience
- Strong Excel skills and ideally Power BI
- Experience working with UCAS and HESA data
- Confidence engaging academic schools and senior stakeholders
- The ability to operate independently and quickly get to grips with a complex environment
Experience with Banner and/or WorkTribe would be useful, but isn't essential.
The opportunity
📍 Predominantly remote – occasional attendance required for key meetings
📅 Immediate start
⏳ Initial 3+ month contract, potentially running through to February 2027
💰 £47,000–£53,000 equivalent, with flexibility for a stronger/senior profile
🏨 Accommodation available for required on-site visits
This is a role where you'll have a genuine opportunity to influence curriculum transformation and senior-level planning decisions, rather than simply producing reports.
