Role Overview

The Project Manager will be responsible for driving a team within Digital Services that develops, implements, and manages integrated transportation solutions. The aim is to enhance transit systems, optimise operations, and improve the user experience.

This role aligns with the strategic goals of the organiation for multimodal transport, infrastructure modernisation, and digital innovation, particularly in smart ticketing systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team within Digital Services to implement a digital innovation strategy for smart ticketing systems.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver key transport projects.
• Ensure digital transformation initiatives align with broader multimodal transport objectives.
• Monitor project progress, manage risks, and maintain budget control to ensure successful delivery.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an IT Project Manager in the transport sector.
• Strong background in delivering digital transformation projects for public transit systems.
• Expertise in smart ticketing systems, transport technology solutions, and infrastructure modernisation.
• Experience in stakeholder management, including working with public sector organisations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
• Ability to work onsite 2 days per week in North-West England.

Desirable Skills

• Knowledge of emerging technologies in smart ticketing and digital transport systems.
• Familiarity with multimodal transport planning solutions.
