2 x .NET Developers

We’re looking for a Senior .NET Developer who’s hands-on, pragmatic, and comfortable working in fast-paced, delivery-focused environments.

You’ll be tackling critical backend systems, modernising legacy infrastructure, and contributing to architectural direction on a high-impact platform.

Role: .NET Developer 

Contract: 6 months

IR35: Outside

Location: South Yorkshire (Mostly Remote - Once per month onsite) 

Day Rate: £300 per day

Who
 

• Hit the ground running with minimal supervision
• Understand the balance between velocity and maintainability
• Are confident reviewing others’ code and improving delivery practices
• Can work within a mixed in-house/contractor team structure
• Deliver clean, testable code that supports long-term evolution

Immediate Responsibilities
 

• Rapidly understand existing systems and architectures
• Deliver well-structured, well-tested features and services
• Support integration of new UI components, APIs, and data layers
• Work alongside in-house developers, business analysts
• Perform peer code reviews
• Contribute to solution design where appropriate

Must-Haves
 

• Languages/Frameworks: C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC
• Frontend: Angular, REST APIs
• ORM/Database: Entity Framework, SQL Server, T-SQL
• Architecture: Dependency Injection, Web API design
• Practices: SOLID principles, design patterns, unit testing
• Version Control: Git (GitLab experience beneficial)
• CI/CD tools like TeamCity, Octopus Deploy or similar

Could-Have Experience
 

• Designing and implementing microservices
• Working knowledge of Oracle / PL-SQL
• Experience with Azure Service Bus
• Using AI tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) in development workflows
• Automated UI testing (e.g. Playwright, Selenium)
