A client within the catering and food industry is seeking a skilled Technical Product Owner to join their digital transformation team on a contract basis. This is a fully remote role, offering a competitive daily rate of £500 to £525 outside IR35, with an initial contract duration of three months.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading product development initiatives, taking responsibility for managing and prioritising the product backlog, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality digital solutions tailored to the catering industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders
- Translate business needs into clearly defined product backlog items
- Own and prioritise the product backlog to maximise value delivery
- Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap
- Work closely with development teams using Agile methodologies
- Facilitate sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
- Ensure solutions are aligned with stakeholders’ needs and business goals
- Monitor product performance and user feedback for continuous improvement
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Technical Product Owner or similar role
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and product management practices
- Experience working with digital platforms and systems relevant to the catering or food industry
- Ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders
- Highly proficient in creating user stories, acceptance criteria, and managing product backlogs
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Desirable:
- Background in hospitality, food service, or catering technology solutions
- Familiarity with SaaS platforms or integrated food delivery systems
- Previous experience in a fast-paced, contract-based environment
