We are supporting a major player in the I&C energy market as they continue to strengthen and professionalise their commercial sales capability. With ambitious growth targets across new business acquisition, the organisation is investing in high performance, data led sales leadership to accelerate pipeline generation, improve conversion and drive long term commercial value.

After years of strong delivery across their I&C customer base, the business is now focused on embedding a consistent, opportunity led sales culture. To support this next phase, they are hiring an I&C Sales Performance Manager to coach, motivate and elevate the effectiveness of a growing team of Business Development Managers.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Managing and developing a team of Business Development Managers with a clear focus on new business acquisition, pipeline quality and conversion.
  • Driving new business performance across key I&C segments with emphasis on high margin, strategically aligned opportunities.
  • Supporting prospecting activity, lead qualification and opportunity progression through structured campaign activity.
  • Analysing sales performance data with a focus on pipeline health, win rates, deal values and long term customer outcomes.
  • Coaching the team through the full sales conversation cycle and embedding consultative, value led selling practices.
  • Contributing to new business strategy, sector targeting and customer prioritisation.
  • Supporting the shift from transactional sales to long term, relationship led commercial partnerships.
  • Working closely with Pricing, Risk, Marketing and Proposition teams to ensure competitive, profitable and future proofed deal structures.
  • Engaging directly with customers and partners to originate opportunities and strengthen long term commercial relationships.

What They Are Looking For

  • Strong understanding of the UK energy market or a similar B2B commercial environment.
  • Deep knowledge of new business sales models, long term contracting and opportunity management.
  • Experience coaching and developing sales teams with a focus on new business and high performance behaviours.
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret sales data and drive performance improvements.
  • A proven track record of delivering new business growth and building long term customer relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive positive outcomes.
  • Highly self motivated with strong leadership qualities and a focus on continuous improvement.
