Platform Engineer

The role involves designing and evolving cloud-native, serverless infrastructure on AWS, building and refining CI/CD pipelines, enhancing observability, and developing internal tooling to support rapid growth. Role Overview:
The Platform Engineer will contribute to scaling the infrastructure, improving deployment processes, and enhancing system observability within a fast-paced, high-growth environment. They will work closely with experienced engineers to deliver reliable, scalable solutions that support the organization’s enterprise-grade offerings.
Key Skills & Experience:
• Significant platform engineering experience in cloud-native SaaS environments
• Hands-on expertise with AWS serverless architecture (Lambda, DynamoDB, event-driven systems)
• Proven ability to build CI/CD pipelines and work with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Pulumi)
• Focus on improving developer experience and automation
• Strong ownership, pragmatic approach, and delivery mindset
Key Responsibilities:
• Scale and evolve AWS serverless infrastructure for growth, multi-region HA, and data residency requirements
• Own and enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools (GitHub Actions, Pulumi) to enable faster, safer releases
• Develop and maintain observability systems using Datadog, building monitoring, alerting, and debugging capabilities
• Build internal tooling, automate processes, and remove friction to improve engineering productivity
• Contribute to production-ready code in TypeScript across infrastructure and product features
Requirements:
• Right to work in the UK
• Minimum of 5+ years’ platform engineering experience in cloud-native SaaS environments
• Deep knowledge of AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, EventBridge, IAM, networking) or equivalent cloud platforms
• Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code frameworks
• Focus on developer experience and automation
• Ability to work on-site in a hybrid environment (3 days per week on-site in London)
Nice to Have:
• Experience with Pulumi or similar IaC frameworks
• Hands-on experience with Datadog
• Contributions to open-source infrastructure or tooling projects
• Experience building internal developer platforms or tools
