About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Infrastructure Analyst to join a world-renowned organisation as part of a major transformation programme. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex infrastructure projects, including server migrations and hybrid cloud deployments, while supporting multiple sites and ensuring robust networking and security practices.
You’ll provide 3rd line support across infrastructure and networking, manage hybrid environments, and collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver upgrades and resolve incidents. This role offers a mix of BAU and project work (60/40 split), giving you exposure to enterprise architecture development and cloud transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver 3rd line infrastructure and networking support across multiple sites.
- Manage WAN/LAN, Wi-Fi, firewall environments, and hybrid cloud infrastructure.
- Configure and maintain VMWare, Active Directory (Group Policies, DNS/DHCP), and Azure services.
- Support major server migration and on-prem to cloud transformation projects.
- Collaborate with external suppliers and internal teams to resolve incidents and deliver upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with cyber security practices and disaster recovery plans.
- Participate in enterprise architecture development and transformational projects.
Technical Environment
- Core: VMWare, Windows Server/Desktop, Active Directory, Azure (networking, VPN Gateway, routing tables).
- Networking: WAN/LAN fundamentals, firewall management.
- Storage: NetApp.
- Additional: Citrix exposure, Linux, MFA/SSO integration, MECM/Intune, O365 (bonus).
- Monitoring: SolarWinds or PRTG.
Ideal Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Strong background in infrastructure and networking support.
- Proven experience with VMWare, AD, and Azure cloud services.
- Knowledge of firewall management and network segmentation.
- Exposure to hybrid cloud environments and transformational projects.
Bonus:
- Experience with MECM/Intune and MFA/SSO integration.
- Familiarity with bespoke systems and enterprise architecture development.
