Head of Cyber Security - 6 Months Contract

We are currently partnering with a Charity who are in the market for a Head of Cyber Security to join the team on a 6-month contract to drive the evolution of their health & safety department.  This individual will need to lead and strengthen their cyber and IT security capability during a period of significant change. This is a highly hands-on role, ideal for someone from a smaller or mid-sized organisation who is comfortable leading, guiding, and actively delivering. You will take ownership of cyber security operations, incident response, regulatory compliance, and the development of a stable, effective, and forward-thinking security culture.

Role Details

 Role: Interim Head of Cyber Security
 Contract Length: 6 months.
 IR35 Status: Outside IR35
 Location: Remote
 Start Date: ASAP
 Rate: £600 Per Day

Essential Skills
 

• Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory environments, including, Payment Card Data Security Standards (PCI DSS), Cyber Essentials / CE+ and GDPR and ISO standards (Ideally ISO 27001)
• Stakeholder Management Experience
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure technologies (networks, servers, endpoints, cloud basics).
• Proven experience as a Head of Cyber Security, Cyber Manager, or Senior Cyber Lead in a small to mid-sized organisation.
• Ability to lead while remaining hands-on, with a strong bias for delivery as well as strategy.
• Strong understanding of cyber incident management and ability to act as incident lead.
