Forward Deployed AI Engineer
Our client is an AI-led fintech start-up revolutionizing wealth management and financial services through innovative agentic GenAI solutions. This role involves working closely with senior stakeholders to design, prototype, and deploy scalable GenAI-driven solutions, making it a key position in transforming financial services with cutting-edge AI technology.
Role Overview:
The purpose of this role is to lead the deployment of GenAI solutions at client sites, translating business challenges into technical AI frameworks, and ensuring smooth transition from prototype to production. The engineer will work at the intersection of deep technical expertise and client engagement, directly contributing to the organisation’s growth and AI adoption in the finance sector.
Key Skills & Experience:
• 2+ years experience building production-grade AI/data solutions as a Data Scientist or AI Engineer
• Hands-on experience with GenAI technologies (LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, vector databases, agentic frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, DSPy)
• Strong Python skills, with a GitHub portfolio showcasing relevant projects
• Expertise in machine learning engineering, including model development, deployment, and monitoring
• Ability to translate complex business needs into computational workflows
• Excellent communication skills and confidence in engaging with senior stakeholders
• Experience in consulting or customer-facing roles delivering AI-driven solutions
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with client teams to understand domain challenges and success metrics
• Convert business requirements into scalable AI solutions using agentic frameworks
• Prototype and deploy LLM-based agents, including prompt structures, orchestration logic, memory, and retrieval pipelines
• Drive the transition from proof-of-concept to reliable, production-ready systems with measurable ROI
• Act as a trusted technical advisor, guiding adoption and success metrics
• Contribute reusable components and frameworks to accelerate deployment timelines
Requirements:

• On-site availability as required, with remote working environment
• Location: Remote (London-based), with travel to client sites when needed
• Start date: 19/05/2026
• Salary: £60,000 - £110,000 per year + equity
