Delegated Authorities Manager FTC

This role involves overseeing delegated underwriting and claims arrangements, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies throughout the full lifecycle of delegated authority relationships.

Role Overview:

This position is critical in supporting the syndicate’s supervision of delegated authorities, from initial approval and onboarding to ongoing monitoring, audits, and remedial actions. The role involves providing expert guidance on processes, managing audit activities, and ensuring compliance with external regulations and market standards.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Relevant work experience in the London insurance market, specifically within delegated authorities
• Good understanding of Lloyd’s Delegated Authority systems
• Computer literate with ability to develop proficiency in in-house and MS systems
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple priorities

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee approval processes for new delegated arrangements in line with Lloyd’s and company procedures
• Manage the annual due diligence process and ongoing oversight of Coverholders, Binding Authorities, and DCAs
• Allocate delegated arrangements to DA Analysts, ensuring balanced distribution and oversight
• Lead the audit process for delegated arrangements, including setting audit plans and managing audit queries
• Perform quality control assessments of DA Analyst tasks to ensure high standards of completion and consistency
• Oversee the EPI process in accordance with syndicate procedures
• Liaise with the Operations Team on bordereaux receipt, timeliness, and data quality, providing feedback to Coverholders
• Provide delegated authority support, advice, and guidance across the business
• Assist team members with various tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Proven experience within the London insurance market, specifically in delegated authorities and due diligence
• Familiarity with Lloyd’s Delegated Authority systems
• Proficiency in MS Office and in-house systems
• Ability to operate proactively and with initiative
• Strong relationship-building skills at all organizational levels
• Well-developed communication and stakeholder management capabilities

Nice to Have:

• Experience in audit methodologies and operational risk management
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements, including FCA standards

This is a hybrid role, requiring on-site presence in London. The initial duration is two weeks, starting from 17/04/2026, with a fixed-term contract basis. The position offers an annual salary.
