Data Modeller

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
We’re seeking someone with strong expertise in data modelling, from the initial conceptual stages to creating detailed logical models. You should be comfortable using data modelling tools such as erwin. You will be joining a small team of data modellers.
Your main focus will be building logical models for star schemas. You’ll also create supporting documentation, like business glossaries and data dictionaries, to help make the data more accessible.
As business systems continue to grow and evolve, you’ll be involved in shaping data structures and evaluating proposed changes. The role requires a mix of data modelling skills and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, uncovering the key factors behind performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the business to identify factors that affect performance and efficiency
- Develop conceptual, logical, and dimensional models, along with supporting documentation
- Work with Information Analysts to derive actionable insights
- Assist Data Assurance Analysts with defining business rules and metadata
- Champion data literacy and encourage its use throughout the organization
- Engage with industry partners to align on standards and best practices
Required Skills:
- Experience using tools like erwin Data Modeller or ER/Studio
- Strong knowledge of dimensional and relational data modelling
- Familiarity with data governance and management frameworks
- SQL
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to simplify complex data concepts for business audiences
- Strong skills in business analysis and stakeholder management
- Experience in designing and delivering enterprise data models
