Role Overview
The Business Development Manager will focus on new business development, prospecting for potential clients via cold outreach, networking, and referrals. Success involves maintaining a robust sales pipeline, delivering engaging pitches, and converting leads into new clients. Collaboration with internal teams such as software development, marketing, and delivery is essential to ensure seamless onboarding and client satisfaction. The role involves managing the full sales cycle, from initial contact through to handover, with an emphasis on developing strategic relationships and supporting company growth.
Key Skills & Experience
- Experience of social housing and the public sector
- Experience of working with social housing and asset management solutions including the integration of various product sets
- A proven track record of winning new business and achieving sales targets
- Ability to develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to pitch and inform confidently

Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities through cold outreach, networking, and referrals
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline and collaborate with the account management team to ensure smooth client onboarding
- Develop territory plans to meet sales targets and identify value propositions for clients
- Cultivate relationships with prospective clients, making a positive first impression and providing engaging product information
- Support external webinars, deliver product demonstrations, and set up meetings both remotely and in person
- Finalise sales proposals with senior team input and ensure accurate recording of all interactions on the CRM system
- Maintain up-to-date opportunity records and provide weekly progress reports
- Handle objections professionally during the sales process, working to secure new business

- Based on-site with availability to start on 20/07/2026
- Ability to work remotely, with the flexibility for on-site meetings as needed
