Bus Franchising Business Analyst

We are looking for a Business Analyst to support one of our clients on a 6 month contract within their Bus Franchising project.

ROLE: Business Analyst 
RATE: Circa £400 day
IR35: Outside 
LOCATION: Hybrid

Core Business Analysis Skills

• Requirements Gathering & Documentation Ability to elicit, define, and document business and functional requirements from stakeholders.

• Process Mapping & Gap Analysis Skilled in visualising current vs. future state processes and identifying areas for improvement.

• Stakeholder Management Confident working with cross-functional teams including transport planners, operations, legal, and finance.

• Workshop Facilitation Experience running discovery sessions, interviews, and workshops to extract insights and align teams.

Sector-Specific Knowledge

• Bus Franchising & Public Transport Operations Understanding of franchising models, transport policy, and local authority frameworks.

• Bus Back Office Systems Familiarity with scheduling, ticketing, fleet management, and operational support platforms.

• Customer Experience Insight into passenger journey touchpoints, service feedback loops, and user-centric design principles.

• Regulatory Awareness Knowledge of transport legislation and public sector governance.
