Timetabling Administrator | Surrey | up to £32k | Timetabling | Syllabus Plus | SITS

We're excited to partner with a university that is out to market for two timetabling administrators to delivering & supporting the production of the academic timetable using Syllabus Plus software, ensuring conflicts are resolved in a timely matter. They integrated their timetable with SITS, to boost scheduling efficiency & space utilisation. To support this, the university is expanding its timetabling team. Role: Timetabling Administrator

Employment Type: Permanent

Location: 2-3 days a week in Surrey

Salary: up to £32k

Essential skills:

  • An understanding of the Student Record System´s processes & setup
  • Previous Timetabling/Resource scheduling experience
  • Proactive, willingness to learn and an interest in problem solving
  • Excellent communication skills as well as an ability to manage stakeholders at all levels

The role:

Reporting to the Timetabling Manager, you'll work with two Timetabling Administrators to produce and support the academic timetable using Syllabus Plus software, resolving conflicts promptly as they arise.

Previously, timetabling was separate from the student record system (SITS) and handled manually based on academic requests. The integration of Syllabus Plus with SITS has introduced auto-scheduling, reducing manual work. External consultants manage most backend development, collaborating with the internal team.

The university is undergoing a major transformation in timetabling processes, aligned with strategic objectives, including projects like attendance monitoring and potentially transitioning to SaaS.

Desirable skills:

  • Ability to challenging the status quo and bring innovative ideas to improve both the students´ & Academics´ experience
  • Experience working or Understanding the setup of Creative Arts´ institutions
  • Experience working with Tribal SITS Student Record System OR Syllabus plus timetabling software
